Bai Mass Saine, Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), has over 25 years of experience in the Financial Service Sector and a solid understanding of Commercial Banks and financial institutions in Africa. He has extensive Business Development, Finance, and Banking knowledge and comprehensive experience in managing professional teams and individuals. He has a proven record in Articulating information to various audiences and a solid commitment to high ethical standards.
He has held many functions over the years, including Head of Financial Markets in Cameroon and The Gambia for Standard Chartered Bank. He was the Deputy Managing Director at Agib Bank and Executive Director of Business Development at Access Bank PLC (Gambia) prior to his appointment as Chief Executive Officer of the Gambia National Health Insurance Authority.
He holds an MBA from the University of Bridgeport, CT, USA, a BSc. in Finance, and Diplomas in French, including Diplome Approfondi de Langue Francaise and Diplome d’Etudes en Langue Francaise.
He speaks English, French, Wolof, and Mandinka and is a representative in several Committees and Boards, including Charity Organizations.
